Sunday marks 25 years since Half-Life was released on PC in the US. The influential shooter from Valve has in the years since gained a position as one of the most important shooters in history.
To celebrate the anniversary, Valve has released a documentary that goes into the development of the game and the start of Valve. You can see it below.
Half-Life documentary.
If you don’t already own Half-Life Valve is giving it away on Steam until Monday at 19:00.
The game has also received a major update that adds a lot of new things. Four new multiplayer maps are in place, along with three maps that were only available on a CD called Half Life: Further Data.
The jewel for many is probably still Half-Life: Uplink – an add-on package that was distributed via hardware purchases and in game magazines in the 90s.
Otherwise, Valve has made some upgrades on the technical side. The game now has full Steam Deck and controller support, as well as widescreen support. A bunch of minor graphical improvements and bug fixes are also in place.
