Vladimir Putin’s Embarrassing Quote at St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has once again publicly demonstrated his low level of intelligence.

At the St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum on November 17, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin loudly disgraced himself.

He tried to attribute a fake quote to the Roman philosopher Cicero, Dialog.UA reports.

Putin, while discussing the role of culture during the war, tried to pass himself off as an intellectual and made a mistake. He said: “Cicero’s expression: “When the guns fire, the muses are silent”“.

With these words, the dictator of the Russian Federation demonstrated his illiteracy. Cicero did not say, and could not say, anything like that. The fact is that this outstanding Roman philosopher and politician lived before our era, and cannons were invented more than a thousand years after his death in China.

Putin’s embarrassment was commented on by the famous Russian oppositionist Igor Eidman on his blog in Telegram.

He got everything mixed up. Cicero said: “When the tanks roar, the Internet does not work.” If in ancient Rome, during the time of Cicero, according to Putin, there were guns, then, probably, there were tanks and the Internet too. In fact, Cicero said: “When weapons thunder, the laws are silent.” The saying about guns and muses naturally arose in a different era. But Vasilich doesn’t care, he’s been senile for a long time“, wrote the oppositionist.

He clarified that Cicero has a much more appropriate saying that suits modern Russia: “When ignoramuses are in power in a country, expect trouble.” However, according to Eidman, the Russian dictator is no longer able to comprehend this phrase.

Earlier, Dialog.UA reported that Peskov set up Putin by admitting the fact of censorship in the Russian Federation.

We also wrote that the leader of the Paladin PMC boldly threatened Putin.
