The authors of the project admit that it is a prototype that still has a long way to go before a serial car.
About ten years ago, there was a lot of talk in Russia about the “first Russian supercar” called Marussia. The project, like many others before it, ended in bankruptcy, a write-off of funds and the sale of the remaining property, but the idea of u200bu200bthe “Russian supercar” was not abandoned. This time, racing driver Roman Rusinovs and one of the former Marussia constructors, Igor Yermilins, got to work, whose built prototype is called the continuation of the Marussia idea and also Marussia 2.
Russian media reports that the prototype is fully functional and has driven approximately 9,500 kilometers in tests. The car has a monocoque and body panels of synthetic materials, and in the engine compartment a 600 HP unit from the Lamborghini Huracan.
Later, it is planned to exchange it for a Judd product with 800 hp power, but until then there is still a long way to go – the Ross racing version should appear initially, but the public road model is planned only for 2026, assuming that everything planned will succeed.
At the moment, Rossa has been put up for voting as the “News of the Year 2023”, where 22 other automotive innovations created in Russia this year are participating.
