Jakarta –
Party NasDem highlighting the alleged integrity pact document of the Acting Regent of Sorong Yan Piet Mosso for Ganjar Pranowo’s victory in the 2024 elections. NasDem is worried that similar integrity pacts also exist in other regions.
“Could it be that it’s not just Sorong? It could be. Try checking all regional officials. Because if this is the method, it’s done by a political party, right,” said NasDem Deputy Deputy Commissioner, Ahmad Ali, to reporters, Thursday (16/11/2023) .
“Well, if state institutions have been involved like that, then today there are political parties who are shouting thieves, blaming the police and so on, even though it could be them, it could be that they have done this in all regions. In Sorong, this is not the first case, in my opinion “It could be that all regent officials are like that,” he continued.
According to Ali, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) must also respond to the integrity pact. Because, said Ali, Jokowi is accused of destroying institutions to win one of the candidate pairs in the 2024 elections.
“With this situation, Mr. President really has to get involved in responding to this. So that he is not the only one who is attacked. Now Mr. Jokowi is the one being attacked by mobilizing institutions and so on,” he said.
Ali said that Bawaslu as the election supervisor must also carry out its duties. With the circulation of documents suspected of being an integrity pact, Ali suggested that the acting regent in the region be re-elected.
“Bawaslu is a supervisor for sure, but this is a state institution. The state must be more careful with the incident in Sorong. If necessary, all acting regents today will be shaken up again. Acting governors could be like that. This is not a good practice for democracy.” ” he added.
Circulating the Acting Regent of Sorong’s Integrity Pact
Previously circulated on social media, a document alleged to be an integrity pact stated support from the Acting Regent of Sorong, Yan Piet Mosso, for Ganjar’s victory in the 2024 elections. This was in the spotlight of Member of Commission III DPR from the Democratic Party (PD) faction, Benny K Harman.
“Hello Republic. Is this Integrity Pact document true? Is it true that this person was subject to the KPK’s OTT?” wrote Benny via his X account, Monday (13/11).
“Why is there the signature of the Kabinda of West Papua in a document like this? Appointed as acting with a political exchange? Oooh Domine, save this country. #PeopleMonitor#,” added Benny.
