Now we learn that a graphene heat sink is being prepared for the iPhone 16 Pro, a hardware solution that will help dissipate heat and at the same time cool the device. Apple is considering replacing the current copper heat sink on the iPhone 15 Pro with a graphene solution for the 2024 generation.
As a material, graphene offers superior thermal conductivity compared to the copper material, and that should translate into a notable upgrade for the next iPhone. Along with the new heat sink we will also have a metal battery holder to deliver better heat transfer and better cooling.
