Mikati calls on the Lebanese to unite
Lebanon’s caretaker Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, called on the Lebanese to “join together to spare Lebanon from deadly collapses, and to cooperate heart to heart and hand in hand to protect our unity and defend human dignity.”
Mikati said in his intervention during the cabinet session, “The Gaza war and the Israeli attacks in the south were the focus of my speech at the Arab and Islamic summit, and all kings and presidents were responsive and aware of the dangers of the situation and its developments.”
Mikati added, “Through my international meetings, I was assured of everyone’s concern for Lebanon, and that our Lebanon is an Arab need and a civilizational necessity, and it is our duty to protect our homeland with unity and avoid fragmentation.”
The occupation bombs Hezbollah sites
Israeli media said that the Israeli occupation army was launching raids, which it described as “preemptive,” on Hezbollah sites in southern Lebanon.
