80,000 new residential lots will be supplied nationwide, including 65,000 households in the metropolitan area, including Guri and Osan, Gyeonggi Province.
This announcement, which came at a time when housing supply was shrinking, included a plan to prepare in advance for traffic difficulties in new cities.
Pre-subscription will take place around 2027.

This is the Guritopyeong area along the Han River east of Seoul.
The government has designated a waterside area with high housing demand among residents of the metropolitan area as a new residential area and decided to supply 18,500 households.
A total of 65,500 housing units will be built in the metropolitan area, including 31,000 households in Osan Segyo and 16,000 households in Yongin I-dong.
Osan and Yongin are located near a semiconductor cluster, so the plan is to create a hinterland city linked to industry.
In non-metropolitan areas, 9,000 households will be supplied in Bunpyeong, Cheongju, and 5,500 households will be supplied in Hwabuk, Jeju.
The government announced that it will finalize transportation measures in connection with railroads within one year of designating the district in order to reduce frequent traffic disruptions in new cities.
<김오진 / 국토교통부 1차관> “We will expand the public transportation network connecting Dongtan Station and the semiconductor industrial complex and the semiconductor cluster, and connect the road network with the Sejong-Pocheon Expressway to increase accessibility to metropolitan transportation.”
It was also announced that 30% of the area of the new housing site would be turned into park green space and that daycare centers, hospitals, and academies would be gathered in one place to make it a good area for raising children.
The new housing site announced this time will undergo pre-subscription in the first half of 2027 after district designation is completed in 2025. Considering land expropriation and administrative procedures, occupancy is expected to take place after 2030.
The cumulative supply until the announcement of this new housing site, the third under the Yoon Seok-yeol administration, is 165,000 units.
However, in a situation where housing supply has decreased, including the slow development of the 3rd new city, speedy progress is expected to be more important than anything else.
