Born in 1949 in Termini Imerese near Palermo, on 15 November, today Giucas Casella celebrates its 74th birthday. He began performing in the Seventies, and has repeatedly stated that he owed his television debut to his fellow countryman Pippo Baudo, who wanted him on Domenica In di lui in 1979, making him debut on television. Among his best-known tricks are blocking people’s crossed hands behind their heads or hypnotizing a chicken, making it immobile for a few seconds.
The magician has become very well known to television audiences more “young“, also thanks to his frequent participation in reality shows. Finally, in 2021 he took part in the sixth edition of the Gf Vipthis time reaching the final, in sixth place.
Precisely during his stay in the House, he said a tragic anecdote from his lifewhen he risked losing his life but the special bond with his mother managed to save him: “My mother was deaf and dumb. As a child I fell into a well, I was screaming but my mother couldn’t hear me. Then something happened: with the power of thought she managed to come to my rescue. If you are outside and communicate with your mother, she will sense it.” An episode that fortunately ended well, but which left a profound mark on him.
