Roma riot in Greece after a police officer shot a Roma minor who was driving without a license. The police is trying to control the tension, reported the BNR correspondent.
The discontent of the Roma does not stop for the third day in the entire country. Around the Roma neighborhoods, they light fires and block the traffic of cars, throw stones at the police, and overturn parked cars. The police sent in the anti-riot units that guard the Roma neighborhoods.
The anger of the Roma was caused by an accident in which a police officer shot a 17-year-old driver of a car who did not stop for a check. After a chase of 20 kilometers, the car was forced to stop, and the driver, who was without a license, was accidentally shot.
The Roma protests are demanding justice because this is not the first fatal incident for young Roma who break the law.
