The Human Development Programs Unit at the General Administration of Youth Welfare at Helwan University launches a new training course in human development under the title “Mental Health and Psychological Counseling.”
This course comes under the patronage of Dr. Al-Sayyid Qandil, President of the University, Dr. Hossam Rifai, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Farouk, Advisor to the University President for student and university activities.
The course aims to enhance mental health among young people by providing them with the necessary knowledge and skills in the fields of mental health and psychological counselling, given the importance of mental health for the individual and society, as it cultivates happiness and stability and ensures that the individual’s life is free of tensions and fears and a relatively permanent feeling of calm, tranquility and self-security.
The course activities will start from November 19 to December 14, 2023, in the presence of an elite group of specialists in the fields of mental health and psychological counselling.
The course is being held under the supervision of Hisham Refaat, Assistant Secretary of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Mohamed Gad, Director General of the General Administration for Youth Welfare, and Yasser Mohamed, Director of the Human Development Programs Unit.
