Two days after the very dry defeat recorded at home against Rouen (0-3), C’Chartres TT reacted perfectly this Tuesday evening by winning in an authoritarian manner in Angers. A real performance.
ProA: Chartres crushed at home by Rouen
In a valuable team, champion of France in 2021 and 2022, Emmanuel Rassouw’s players attacked the evening with two big performances. The Brazilian Vitor Ishiy, transparent two days earlier, found his game again by taking the scalp of the Portuguese Joao Geraldo, 36e world player (3-1), then the Argentinian Horacio Cifuentes took action by getting out of the clutches of the Swede Jon Persson, in five sets.
Chartres was then in orbit, and logic would have dictated that Alberto Mino folded the matter against Bastien Rembert. But the Ecuadorian, lacking confidence since his arrival in Chartres, suffered his fifth defeat in ProA, letting two match points slip away in the last set (2-3).
In financial difficulty, C’Chartres table tennis sounds the alarm
Angers was revived, but not for long. In a great evening, Horacio Cifuentes finally gave victory to the CCTT by overcoming a handicap from two sets to one against the Swede Hampus Nordberg (3-2).
Next meeting for the Chartrains, on November 26, at the Rosskopf hall, against the championship leader, Pontoise.
