Radio breakfast hosts Jason Hawkins and Lorraine Phillips from Melbourne revealed what “McDonald’s” sweet and sour sauces the main ingredient. This discovery spoiled the whole idea of it for many, reports “Daily Mail”.
The video, originally posted on TikTok, shows Lauren’s colleague Jason enjoying himself swimming with your favorite sweet and sour sauce. But all his excitement is lost when he learns that the sauce is made from apricots.
“I don’t like apricots.. Now I can even taste them,” he insists and throws away the half-eaten swimming.
The video caught the attention of thousands of people, and they seemed just as impressed as Jason. One added: “When I found out about Caesar dressing, my love for it disappeared.”
Others, however, claimed to have known about the sauce ingredient for years. “How could people not know that?” one asked. “The sweet and sour sauce is basically apricot jam mixed with vinegar,” claimed another.
Other ingredients of sweet and sour sauce are peach puree, salt, garlic powder, dried chili pepper, onion powder, paprika extract, etc.
