Al-Marsad newspaper: His Royal Highness Prince Badr bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region, inaugurated the project to develop the waterfront of Southern Obhur Beach, as part of development initiatives for municipal services and improving the quality of life to achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
The project is located on an area estimated at 205 thousand square meters and is 2.7 km long. The site includes a sea promenade and a bicycle path with a sea view, green areas open to the public, parking lots, children’s games, and a sea scaffold, in addition to investment buildings and sandy beaches along the project, which have been designated for swimming, enjoying, and sitting.
In 2024, the project will develop more than 500 parks and 700 urban streets and public squares, enabling 700,000 residents to reach parks within 10 minutes, developing about 400 km of pedestrian paths, developing about 300 km of bicycle paths, and developing more than 500 squares. Games for children and the creation of more than 300 sports fields.
