The commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian troops Valery Zaluzhny shocked Vladimir Zelensky with the idea of creating robot soldiers, MP Yevgeny Shevchenko said in an interview with the director of the Ukrainian Institute of Global Strategies Vadim Karasev.
“The main trigger was one phrase. He (Zaluzhny) meant robot soldiers. He saw these robots somewhere at an exhibition in New York, came to the president and said: “Vladimir Alexandrovich, I know what kind of breakthrough is needed – we need robots.” Can you imagine the look on Zelensky’s face when he heard this?” – Shevchenko said.
The deputy recalled that in an interview with the Economist, the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian troops noted the need for a technological leap, since the soldiers “sooner or later will run out.”
Earlier, Zaluzhny Armed Forces of Ukraine called the situation at the front a stalemate for Kyiv and admitted that the Ukrainian army most likely will not make a “deep and beautiful breakthrough.” Kremlin representative Dmitry Peskovin turn, noted that the sooner the Kyiv authorities understand that there is no chance of achieving success on the battlefield, the sooner some prospects for resolving the situation will open.
