Bonjour,

We are leaving Christmas week, from Friday December 22 to Friday December 29, to New York.
I prepared this schedule knowing that we are leaving with two children aged 9 and 15.

Can you tell me what you think of this schedule and if there are things to improve or add in terms of “holes”?

Thanks in advance,
Sincerely,

Xavier

Sorry, but your schedule is illegible.
By enlarging it I lose sharpness because of the pixels.
Please offer it in another form.
As for the holes, the principle is generally to fill them if you don’t want to fall in!

Bonjour,

How can I send it to you in PDF?

Merci

No idea.
I don’t have this knowledge.
You can also write it.
It is longer but more readable for a point-to-point intervention.
This is, in general, what the participants do.

By clicking on the photo of my message then on download you will have better visibility.

Merci

That’s what I did. To read it, I enlarged it and there it became unreadable.
In my eyes, at least…

Re,

I don’t know if it will be more readable…

No, it’s exactly the same problem as soon as you enlarge the image.
If I don’t enlarge it, I don’t read anything.
Then it deteriorates.
Nevermind…
Maybe others will have eagle eyes to help you.

And by clicking on the image and instead of downloading, display the original…

Without downloading, it works…

Top thanks in advance for your feedback

Which hotel are you staying at?

Some preliminary remarks.

You seem to think it will only take two hours from landing to arriving in Times Square.
If you get through immigration within two hours, you can count yourself lucky.
The wait at JFK, if many flights show up at the same time, can be very long.
Then, once your vehicle has been reserved and found, it will take you at least an hour to travel in the best conditions.
The times noted on your arrival day should not be fixed.

You do not need to buy a metrocard the day before your first use.

A visit to your hotel area will inevitably lead you to Times Square.
During the holiday season, the crowds that frequent Midtown are dense.
It can quickly become painful

The next morning, you will be up very early.
Take advantage of this early departure opportunity to get to AMNH via Central Park.
You will optimize your time discovering this park devoid of any vegetation.
The AMNH only opens at 10 a.m.
The post office opposite MSG, James A Farley is on 8th Ave, not far from your hotel.

Good luck enjoying all kinds of light installations in Midtown on a Saturday near Christmas: it will be crowded.

On the other hand, you should not miss, as part of your stay, the Christmas Spectacular which takes place at Radio City Music Hall with the Rockettes.
It’s a must-have that the whole family will enjoy.

If you want to “survive” the Christmas frenzy, avoid Midtown on the 24th at all costs.
Going to Santaland on the 24th is crazy but hey! On the 26th, it will be too late.
Why not do something else by opting for other sectors.
The list of possibilities is long.
The Circle Line cruise could be considered for another day.
It would combine perfectly with the Intrepid which is next door and why not, in the same area, the Hudson Yards, the HighLine, the Chelsea Market…
At the end of the day, you could go and watch Christmas carols with the choir that performs at Washington Square Park.

On the 25th, the Union Square market will be inactive.
From this date only that of Bryant Park will remain.
The 25th is the ideal day to visit Chinatown which is not impacted by this holiday.
Doing the BSE twice is useless.
It will be bitterly cold there and you will certainly not enjoy it for long.
This public holiday, the neighborhoods will be deserted in the morning.
You could take the opportunity to go to Brooklyn, cross the bridge during the day to arrive at Chinatown.
Stroll through the neighboring neighborhoods which follow one another.

26th, Macy’s? why not…
You’re definitely not going to spend an afternoon in Times Square.
You will be close to it and any evening will be opportune, once the 25th has passed, to do so.
Take advantage of this day to do the program of the 27 amputee of Chinatown, etc. that you could have seen on the 25th.
Finish at Macy’s.

The following days, as Midtown will be partly less busy, this is a good day to dedicate time to it and add the Roosevelt Island tram.

You will program the SUMMIT according to the weather (same for the ESB).
Summit by day, ESB by night.

I think I saved you 1 1/2 days.
Enough to think about other possible explorations taking into account nightfall.

Thanks for your feedback
I will study your information and modify my schedule
