The editors of PC Gamer in honor of its 30th anniversary amounted to a list of games and events that most strongly influenced the development of the PC industry. Among other things, journalists noted the appearance of the Windows XP operating system, the start of sales of the famous paid horse armor for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Valve’s numerous successes.
Immediately after the publication of the lists, readers of the PC Gamer website noted that the first part of Half-Life was not included in it. Apparently, the compilers of the list decided to limit themselves to only the second part.
