PA Sports Addresses Tensions with Yakary: A Reconciliation on the Horizon

separation

In a recently published statement, German rap artist PA Sports spoke out about the tensions with his label signing Yakary. After there were rumors of a beef between the two, which allegedly revolved around financial disputes, a reconciliation now seems to be on the horizon. Yakary had previously complained about the lack of contact with PA Sports and being treated as just a “number” at the Life is Pain label, although he had expected more commitment from his label boss. Interestingly, Yakary shared a picture on Instagram showing that he and PA Sports had an extensive phone conversation. PA Sports commented on the situation via Instagram and emphasized that he does not make his decisions under pressure from the public or the scene, but rather acts like a businessman. He explained that he signed Yakary because of his immense talent and potential as a future superstar. PA Sports stressed that he would rather settle the disputes and focus on music rather than get lost in disagreements. He admitted that the situation between them was maximally unpleasant at times and that as label boss he had to take responsibility to steer Yakary in the right direction. He also mentioned that brilliant artists often have “damaged roofs,” which can lead to conflicts.

Statement

I know you’ve been waiting for an explanation for a few weeks now. Now the thing is, there isn’t much to explain from my side. I don’t like to let anyone look at my cards, nor do I give in to pressure from the public or the rest of the scene. When it comes to Life Is Pain, I don’t make my decisions like the street but like a businessman. I signed Yakary because he is incredibly talented and could be the next superstar overall.
From a very sober perspective, that’s what interests me. I’d like to sort out all the arguments, turn our focus to music and break it all down. That is my claim to the matter. And if I notice that we’re not living up to this standard because we’re just busy doing shit all day, then of course I’ll have to pull the ripcord at some point.
But until then I’ll do my best to steer him in the right direction. Interim conclusion: It could be a lot easier, it’s maximally unpleasant at times and a lot of people blame their hatred on me because that’s probably the easiest way. On the other hand, he is currently the craziest artist and, unfortunately, craziest artists always have roof damage. Stay relaxed.”Here you can see the statement: PA Sports via Instagram
