“During the investigation, a criminal case was separately registered under Article 432 (“Concealment of a crime”) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, within the framework of which a suspect in the person of the director of the Gastro Center was placed in a temporary detention facility.
Criminal cases have also been initiated under Article 434 (“Failure to report a crime”) and Article 119, Part 3 (“Leaving in danger”) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The investigation is being conducted by the Investigation Department of the Astana City Police Department and is under the control of the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan,” the department said in a statement.
The Astana Police Department noted that the investigation into the murder of Saltanat Nukenova continues. The suspect in committing this crime was arrested by the investigative court of the city of Astana.
Currently, the investigative authorities are carrying out the entire range of necessary measures aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident and the guilt of specific individuals.
The police also reminded that there is criminal liability for disseminating knowingly false information.
