NHL Launches YouTube Channel NHL Europe Ahead of Global Series in Stockholm

The National Hockey League launches YouTube channel NHL Europe (YouTube.com/NHLEurope) and is thus further expanding the range of foreign language video content for ice hockey fans.

The channel will premiere on Tuesday, November 14, ahead of the NHL Global Series presented by Fastenal in Stockholm, Sweden. From November 16th to 19th, the Detroit Red Wings, Minnesota Wild, Ottawa Senators and Toronto Maple Leafs Maple Leafs will play four regular season games in the Swedish capital.

NHL Europe on YouTube shows exclusive contributions with international superstars such as Leon Draisaitl, Mikko Rantanen, David Pastrnak, Elias Pettersson and others. European players made up nearly 30 percent (29.2) of NHL teams’ rosters to start the season. The league therefore recognizes the importance of engaging with fans around the world in their native language.

The NHL already produces original videos and editorial content for seven foreign language versions of the NHL.com website, in French, Finnish, Swedish, German, Czech, Slovak and Spanish. Fans can follow @NHLEurope on Instagram and TikTok and the NHL’s foreign language accounts on X: @LNHFR (French); @NHLfi (Finnish); @NHLsv (Swedish); @NHLde (German); @NHLcz (Czech); @NHLsvk (Slovak); @NHLespanol (Spanish).
