Libreville, November 12, 2023 (AGP) – The collective of residents of Bikélé social housing, in the 3rd arrondissement of the commune of Ntoum, alerted, on Saturday, the National Real Estate Company (SNI), to take security measures against the occupants illegal, indicates a press release from the said collective.
This press release follows that of the National Real Estate Company, made public on Wednesday, November 8, on the national television channel, Gabon 1ère, inviting all those reserving and purchasing the Bikele subdivision to take steps to secure their housing against squatters.
Through its communication read by its president Yannick Gildas Mangaboula Mboudji, the collective called “BikCity” reminds the SNI that most of the reservations are still tenants. It is up to him as lessor to ensure the protection of these accommodations.
The latter requests the intervention of the highest authorities, including the president of the transition, Brigadier General Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, so that any indelicate person is made available to justice, in order to avoid clashes between Gabonese people. Not without inviting the new authorities to look into the housing deficit which is a real problem in Gabon.
Responsible, legalist collective and a source of proposals for the State, which campaigns for the improvement of the living conditions of the populations of the cities, through the financing of actions such as water supply, the construction of a electricity network, the installation of solar panels, the management of household waste, BikCity has submitted a memorandum of proposal as a prelude to the national dialogue, announced the president of the collective.
