The game coincided with US Veterans Day, in connection with which the military personnel of the 103rd Rescue Detachment of the 106th Rescue Wing of the United States Armed Forces took to the ice to honor them. Ovechkin, who is the founder of the movement in support of the Russian dictator Putin Team, greeted the American soldiers. In particular, he shook hands and happily took pictures with them.
