The World Health Organization (WHO) writes on X that it no longer has contact with al-Shifa hospital, the largest hospital in Gaza. The WHO suspects their contacts are fleeing the area given “horrifying reports of continued attacks on the hospital”.

Yesterday, WHO chief Tedros said he was seriously concerned about the situation of patients and healthcare staff in the hospital. The WHO now reiterates those fears and once again calls for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

Yesterday the hospital ran out of fuel; there is no more power now. Israel has surrounded the hospital. The army said last night it would help evacuate babies from hospital.
