Libreville, Friday November 10, 2023 (Infos Gabon) – The African Development Bank has decided to suspend its punishment which has weighed on the country since the coup of August 30.
The African Development Bank (AfDB) has just removed Gabon from its blacklist. The pan-African financial institution has decided to lift its sanctions which have weighed on Gabon since the coup of last November 30 following the coup which was marked by the arrival to power of Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema. This good news comes from the Gabonese Minister of the Economy, Mays Mouissi, present in Marrakech in Morocco where the AfDB is holding the 2023 edition of the Africa Investment Forum. “I welcome the lifting of ADB sanctions against Gabon and the resumption of disbursements in favor of various projects,” he tweeted.
A lifting of sanctions which will allow a resumption of the partnership between Gabon and this institution which finances to the tune of 75 billion F the major drinking water supply project in the main cities of Gabon.
