Following instructions from the Public Ministry, the Homicide Brigade of the PDI of Chillán carries out proceedings to clarify the death of a man who was shot in the Enrique Knothe condominium, in the commune of Chillán Viejo.
Prosecutor Álvaro Serrano Romo reported that “in the first instance, the Carabineros of Chile and later the Homicide Brigade attended, since a person died as a result of a ballistic impact.” He added that, preliminarily, the victim was identified as Aníbal Tapia Villegas.
He indicated that the corresponding investigations are being carried out since a large amount of ammunition and vanilla were found at the site.
The prosecutor added that it is also being investigated whether this incident is related to a man who later arrived at the Chillán Hospital, presenting a wound caused by a gunshot wound.
