The Israeli Ministry of Defense will supply an air defense system to an unnamed country. Defense News reports this.
The deal is valued at $1.2 billion, said the general contractor, Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI).
“When asked by Defense News, the ministry and Israel Aerospace Industries declined to identify the type of system or the client involved in the sale. The company, however, noted that this is “an air defense system with advanced technological capabilities that has been tested in operation,” the publication writes.
Israeli media suggest that we are talking about the Barak air defense system. Depending on the modification, it has a range from 35 km to 150 km; Barak missiles are designed to intercept aircraft, medium-range ballistic missiles and cruise missiles.
Barak already has several clients, including Morocco, Colombia and India, it said.
As reported EADailyUkraine is preparing for the worst winter in history, the country’s Foreign Minister said Dmitry Kuleba in an interview with Die Welt.
Kuleba, by his admission, has already created a substantial supply of candles, and the minister’s father purchased a truckload of firewood, but without air defense systems it will be extremely difficult to survive the winter. Kyiv is even ready to turn a blind eye to the lack of long-range Taurus missiles, if only they would provide these systems.
