The winners of the Bremen Television Prize 2023 have been chosen: Tonight (November 10th) nine productions received the coveted awards from the ARD regional competition.
“Regional reporting is the heart of ARD – and the Bremen Television Prize impressively shows how strong the information content and design of our diverse offering is,” said host Yvette Gerner, director of Radio Bremen: “I congratulate all the winners and thank them for their outstanding work.”
“Regionalism is our DNA as ARD! Because looking at the world is undoubtedly important. But only those who understand what is happening in front of their door can have a say and help shape our society and democracy. The winners of the Bremer “I warmly congratulate them,” said Kai Gniffke, ARD chairman and SWR director.

In addition, the audience award “Nah dran” was awarded for the second time at the Bremen Television Prize. And the winner is

From September 1st to 28th, 2023, interested parties could vote for their favorites from a total of 28 productions – more than 10,000 people took part in the vote www.bremerfernsehpreis.de involved.
The award ceremony was led by jury chairman Frank Plasberg, supported and accompanied by Yvette Gerner, Radio Bremen director, and Jan Weyrauch, Radio Bremen program director.
Henry and the Waiters, indie pop artists from Frankfurt am Main and recently nominated for the ARD competition “New Music Award 2023”, was the musical guest of the evening
Previously, the workshop discussion took place in the afternoon in collaboration with the ARD.ZDF media academy – this time with the focus on “Use of artificial intelligence in regional areas”.

The Bremen Television Prize
The Bremen Television Prize honors the best in regional television and regional web productions from German-speaking program providers and is awarded by Radio Bremen on behalf of ARD. The prize has existed intermittently since 1974. Numerous prominent authors have already received it, including the current jury chairman Frank Plasberg.
