The Bullying Case in an Elementary School: A Mother’s Fight for Justice

Jakarta

Case bullySchool behavior is still a matter of public concern. Now, the problems experienced by F (12) which resulted in having to be amputated continue to attract public attention.

The mother said that her son had clearly experienced violence at a state elementary school in the Bekasi area, West Java. However, on the other hand, there are those who say this is just that joke children.

As a mother, Diana explained that the chronology of what happened did not show it was a joke. “If the context is joking, they are happylaughing together, and maybe my child’s position is ready, facing each other,” he said when interviewed at the event Close The Door.

“But what happened was he didn’t know disengaged (was tackled) and this is his position of walking casually,” he continued.

Mother Diana then explained that at that time her son was walking to buy food. The tackle occurred from behind, then made F fall.

The thing that made Diana even more convinced was that it was a… bully-an because of a threat. The perpetrator, who was said to be a gang of 5 people, threatened F not to confess to the teacher or parents.

“When you fall, that’s the start bully-an that, that word. The words, ‘Don’t mountain‘, ‘If mountain mother’s boy’, ‘It doesn’t hurt digital just your body big‘, ‘Be careful not to mountain to the teacher’, ‘Cepu‘. So yes, there are threats,” he said.

F himself did not know that at that time he had become a victim bully, Mother. When he told what his friends had said, he realized it.

“He didn’t know, ‘Oh that bullied yes, Ma?’,” recalled Diana.

Furthermore, Diana also revealed that the children’s disgraceful behavior had occurred many times. F also expressed this every time he received bad talk.

“F is an active child, he likes appearing in class or at school events. Every time he appears he always talks to me. ‘My mom said, today. A lot of ganteng, a lot pinterfat item’,” he explained.

Report it to the homeroom teacher

After being tackled and experiencing swelling in his knee, F did not want to go to school. Four days later, he returned to class using crutches, then his mother followed him to school.

When meeting with the homeroom teacher, Diana admitted that she did not receive proper treatment. Instead of bringing him into the classroom, he directed him outside while saying inappropriate words.

“While directed left the class, ‘Oh yeah, F told me. Surely the parents (of the perpetrator’s child) know what kind of illness it is, they are medical and legal people’. It was like that,” he recalled.

But Diana didn’t stop there. He continued to report his son’s condition every time he was examined until it was indicated that he had bone cancer.

“After there were indications of bone cancer, I reported it to the homeroom teacher. “Ah, really? just that person disengaged only‘,” he said, describing the reaction of the homeroom teacher who also serves as deputy principal.
