Leaving, even temporarily, his position as mayor of Noisy-le-Grand is not an option. This Thursday evening, at the very start of the municipal council, Brigitte Marsigny (LR) returned to her placement in police custody and the search carried out at her home on September 12, as part of an investigation opened for money laundering and taking illegal interest. The chosen one emerged free and without prosecution.
Describing the search as “theft and rape of her (her) privacy”, the mayor said she was very “affected” by these events. “Convinced of my innocence, I collaborated, I provided all the documents, the elements requested,” she stressed.
Responding to her opposition which, at the time of the revelation of this police custody, had requested her withdrawal from the political life of Noisy-le-Grand, Brigitte Marsigny affirmed: “I do not intend to abandon my post and put myself in retreat.” Then to say to him: “I ask you to stop your intimidation! “.
A little earlier, opposition elected official (PS) Emmanuel Constant had once again called for the mayor to step back, which would, according to him, “give some momentum back to Noisy”. On the other hand, this request was not reiterated by the other opposition group (SE), led by Vincent Monnier, who left the municipal majority in 2019.
The latter, however, asked Brigitte Marsigny to “appoint an ethics officer and a real town planning assistant”, but also to “suspend current real estate projects”. Joseph Zrihen, another opposition elected official (SE), also reacted: “We know that an arrest does not mean being guilty. This goes for you, just as it does for young people in the neighborhood. »
A report on the regularity of land transfers
The investigation, entrusted to the brigade for the repression of economic delinquency (BRDE), follows reports from the High Authority for the Transparency of Public Life (HAPTV) and officials from the commune of Seine-Saint- Denis, explained the Paris prosecutor’s office in mid-September, without specifying the period to which the suspicions relate. “The report from citizens raises questions about the regularity of transfers of land belonging to the municipality and the granting of building permits,” added the public prosecutor.
This Thursday evening, Brigitte Marsigny explained that this preliminary investigation followed a complaint from her predecessor, the socialist Michel Pajon, in 2019. And she concluded her intervention with these last words: “I know that justice will triumph” .
