A call for applications is launched for the selection of 12 Cameroonians and 10 young people from 10 other countries for six-month training.
The Bloggers Demo School (BDS) program plans to train at least 22 young people in the Central Africa and Great Lakes sub-region. In its first edition, BDS chose to offer this training to 12 young Cameroonians including six men and six women. It will take place in person in the city of Douala. Remote training will be provided to 10 young people from 10 other countries, including five men and five women.
The training in question aims to equip these young people by giving them skills to run blogs by producing quality content. Young enlistees will learn how to run journalistic blogs. The training program, which will last six years, includes 4 teaching units: UE 1 General culture; EU 2 Entrepreneurship; UE 3 Blogging and UE 4 Web writing as well as conference cycles.
At the end of the training, the 22 young people will be able to run a blog; collect and process information; write quality articles; raise awareness of everyone’s social responsibility for the advancement of democracy.
