First Smile
The Premier Sourire boutique opened on October 17, at 2 rue des Serruriers. Little slippers and bodysuits in pastel tones, for babies aged 0 to 12 months, are waiting for “moms, aunts or grandmothers” to make beautiful birth gifts. The manager, Martine, relies on her two salespeople, Bérengère and Isabelle, to run this second store. “I continue to manage my bridal store,” she says.
All the products offered are made in Portugal. “There, a baby is a real gift from heaven, so they make quality clothes,” emphasizes Isabelle. “Favorite” layettes suitable for all budgets: “The first price for a bodysuit is 4.90 euros.” Open Tuesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The Gourmandine
Since October 18, the La Gourmandine bakery opened at 27 rue Bretonnie. Kadi Clausse welcomes customers and her husband, Mickaël Clausse is in the oven. “He makes potato pies and quiches very well,” smiles the saleswoman.
In the windows, customers can find breads, pastries, meringues and other pastries but also pizzas or pancakes. “We try to renew it every day.”
The bakery is open Monday to Friday, from 6:45 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, from 6:45 a.m. to 1 p.m.
