The Saudi artist, Talal Salama, apologized for participating in the “Masterpieces of Baligh Hamdi” concert scheduled for the activities of the fourth edition of the Riyadh season on Thursday.
Salama Fe said in his tweet on the “X” platform, previously Twitter, that the reason for his apology for participating was the inability to reach the “concert rehearsals” location in Riyadh.
He wrote, “I ask God for success for my senior colleagues and a more beautiful future.”
He continued, “I cannot fail to thank those who were keen on my presence and were interested in arranging all the possibilities for that… God willing, it will be compensated in the future.”
The Riyadh season devoted an entire evening to remembering the masterpieces of the great musician, Baligh Hamdi, at the Abu Bakr Salem Theater with the participation of an elite group of singing stars in the Arab world, such as Saber Al-Rubai, Majid Al-Muhandis, Asala, Angham, and Nancy Ajram.
It is noteworthy that Saudi Arabia was subjected to harsh criticism after launching the famous entertainment events called “Riyadh Season,” while the war between Israel and Gaza has been raging for nearly a month.
Since October 7, the Gaza Strip has witnessed relentless aerial bombardment by Israel after an unprecedented attack launched by Hamas on the Hebrew state, which killed about 1,400 people, according to the authorities.
On the other hand, the continuous Israeli bombing of Gaza led to the deaths of 10,812, according to the latest toll announced by the Hamas Ministry of Health.
Since October 9, the Palestinian Strip has been subject to a “total siege” by Israel, which includes cutting off water, food, and electricity supplies, while the humanitarian situation is taking on catastrophic proportions for the population of 2.4 million people.
