– Roger Federer visited the pizza master in Zollikon
If Federer is a guest, he is sure to get attention. At the weekend, the tennis star enjoyed a meal with pizza world champion Raffaele Tromiro in Zollikon.

The Napulé in Zollikon has already made headlines in the past with a gold pizza for 500 francs.

The pizza empire that Raffaele Tromiro has built up over the last few years is something to be proud of. In 2015, the Neapolitan native opened his first pizzeria in Meilen. Since then, one branch after another has followed – the restaurant chain is now represented at eight locations in Switzerland. There is also its own pizza technical school in Erlenbach, where Tromiro trains his staff himself.
It is questionable whether the three-time pizza world champion still has the time to stand behind the 500 degree oven with all the different companies. Last weekend he didn’t miss the chance to be there in person for a special guest.
Because none other than Roger Federer found his way to the former Gasthof Trube in Zollikon. Tromiro didn’t miss the chance to take a photo with the Swiss tennis legend. In the picture in front of the traditional pub he is beaming from ear to ear. He then thanked the “Maestro” in an Instagram post on Sunday with “Grazie for your visit”.
Federer rarely goes unrecognized, no matter where he goes. The tennis star attracted attention when he visited the Rugby World Cup final in Paris on Saturday a week ago. And even in the Lake Zurich region, where Federer can often be found, he is sure to get curious looks – whether he is enjoying his coffee at the Portofino on the Thalwil lakeshore or queuing up for an ice cream at the Seebadi Richterswil.
