Team meet handball Al-Ahly Club faces its Spanish counterpart Barcelona at six o’clock this evening, Thursday, in its second match in the Club World Cup “Super Globe” tournament, which will be held in Saudi Arabia during the period from 7 to 12 November.
The Al-Ahly men’s team, led by its Spanish technical director, David Davies, is seeking to achieve victory in today’s match after successfully defeating Al-Nour of Saudi Arabia with a score of 38/20 in the first match of the tournament the day before yesterday, Tuesday.
The kickoff saw Mohamed Ibrahim, the goalkeeper of the first handball team at Al-Ahly club, receive the best player award in the Al-Nour Saudi match. Ibrahim received the award from Mohamed Al-Ghazawi, a member of the board of directors. Mohamed Ibrahim gave a distinguished performance that contributed to Al-Ahly’s victory with a score of 38-20.

While the tournament includes 12 clubs from 10 countries, they were distributed into 4 groups, and the first from each group advances to the semi-finals of the Super Globe, and Egypt and the continent of Africa are represented in the tournament by Al-Ahly Club.
Al-Ahly is in the first group alongside Al-Noor (Saudi Arabia) – Barcelona (Spain), while the second group includes: Al-Kuwait Club – San Fernando HP (Argentina) – Fuchs Berlin (Germany), and the third group: Magdeburg (Germany) – Al-Khaleej. (Saudi Arabia) – University of Queensland (Australia) and the fourth group: Kielce (Poland) – Al-Najma (Bahrain) – San Francisco Calheat (America).
