For the seventh consecutive month, inflation maintains its downward trend. Annual inflation as of October fell to 10.48%, 8.27% year-to-date and 0.25% in the analysis period.

The National Administrative Department of Statistics (Dane) released the Consumer Price Index (CPI) or inflation for October. According to the entity, it gave way again for the seventh consecutive month, which means another relief for the battered pockets of Colombians.
The entity specified that it closed at 10.48% year-on-year in the tenth month of the year, which meant a reduction of 0.51% compared to September, when it stood at 10.99% year-on-year. In addition, it also had a drop compared to the same interannual period of October 2022, when it was 10.22%.
Furthermore, in October alone this figure stood at 0.25%, which meant a drop of 0.47% compared to the same month in 2022 (0.72%). In relation to the year to date, this also fell, because it stood at 8.27%, while in the same period last year the record was 10.86% (fall of 2.59%).
