The whole case stems from a female netizen who once worked for a brokerage company revealed on Facebook in June this year that a certain woman once told her that she took a ride back with a male artist after a work party. He entered the woman’s home under the guise of using the bathroom, forcibly kissed her and assaulted her breasts. The female netizen also said that when she was alone in the studio with a male artist, she was hugged from behind by the male artist twice.
Another female netizen also said on Facebook that during a company dinner, she was responsible for driving the artist and her manager home without drinking. When she and the male artist were left in the car, the male artist suddenly pounced on her and attacked her chest.
In response to the sexual harassment accusation, Yu Sheng responded on Facebook at the time, “I am sorry for the harm and shadow caused by my past behavior. I am very, very sorry. I will not run away from the mistakes I have made. Really, really Yes, I’m sorry.”
The case was reported anonymously by the public. Due to jurisdictional issues, the Taichung District Prosecutor’s Office transferred the case to the Northern District Prosecutor’s Office for investigation. The Taipei District Prosecutor’s Office filed a lawsuit stating that one day in late 2015, You Sheng proposed to send the woman home after work. You Sheng entered the woman’s home on the pretext of borrowing the toilet, and when she was unprepared, he forcibly kissed her and assaulted her breasts. , it stopped only after the woman resisted.
The prosecutor believes that You Sheng is guilty of forced indecency and will file a public prosecution today. There were three victims involved. None of them filed criminal charges after being summoned. However, it was determined that You Sheng had succeeded in forcibly indecently assaulting one of the women, and Yu Sheng was prosecuted for the crime of forcible indecency. As for the scope of the Sexual Harassment Prevention and Control Act for the other two women, since the two women did not file a complaint, this part has been signed.
Involving forced indecency is a crime that is not subject to prosecution. According to Article 224 of the Criminal Law, the person may be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not less than 6 months but not more than 5 years.
