Following actors Chris Evans and Paul Rudd, Patrick Dempsey has been named by the entertainment magazine this year People voted the sexiest man in the world. The 57-year-old actor, known for Grey’s Anatomy, says the honor is “good for his ego”.
“I’m glad that I can still experience this at my age,” jokes the American, who will celebrate his 58th birthday in January. “It’s nice to be recognized in this way. It certainly provides a little ego boost.”
At first Dempsey thought he was being fooled back then People brought him the news. “I never even thought about being eligible for this.”
The actor suspects that his children Talula (21) and Sullivan (16) are going to make fun of him. “They’re going to list every reason why I shouldn’t be the sexiest man,” Dempsey laughs. “And that’s fine, they keep me young.”
