Eleven goals in eleven matches in the Premier League.
Four goals in four games in the Champions League.
Erling Braut Haaland improved his goal average against Young Boys on Tuesday evening.
Haaland’s first goal came from a penalty in the middle of the first half and he scored the slightly more delicious 3-0 goal five minutes into the second half.
The Norwegian had the ball outside the penalty area and pounded it into the far corner with a well-placed shot.
Norwegian and Swedish switched
Haaland didn’t get a chance to score a hat-trick as he was substituted for compatriot Oscar Bobb after an hour of play.
Manchester City won the match 3–0 and Swedish left-back Noah Persson was substituted for Young Boys in the 78th minute.
On to eighth
Man City, who are the reigning champions, have now secured a place in the Champions League round of 16.
– We have so many matches every year. Of course we are not left in the Carabao Cup (league cup) now, but we are usually in all tournaments. Finishing with two games left was what we wanted to do, says Manchester City winger Jack Grealish to TNT Sports.
Emil Forsberg’s RB Leipzig is also further from Manchester City’s Group H after victory against Red Star.
