What happened in the locker room after training with the Montpellier team at the end of October? We may never know. Mamadou Sakho leaves the MHSC after an “incident”
This decision to leave the Montpellier team follows an “incident” for which Mamadou Sakho “disclaims all responsibility. » The player then says: “I spent two years in this family club where I enjoyed sharing my high-level experience with my teammates and my “little brothers” from the training center. » He then thanks the entire workforce of the Montpellier club, only he adds: “You have to know how to leave the table when respect is no longer served. »

The player does not give any further details on this “incident” which the MHSC describes for its part as a “clash” between Michel Der Zakarian, the coach, and Mamadou Sakho. The Montpellier Hérault Sport Club then explains in turn: “Contrary to what has been said and relayed, no precautionary dismissal has been taken against Mamadou Sakho. After ten days of reflection, the parties agreed, in good faith, to put an end to the contractual relationship between them. The MHSC would like to thank Mamadou Sakho for his involvement during his time in Montpellier and wishes him, as well as his family, the best for the future. » The footballer is now turning to other adventures.
