Press invitation Awarding of the “Stars of Sports” in silver for Saxony
on Monday, November 13th in Dresden
Dear colleagues,
Six sports clubs from Saxony are this year’s silver award winners in the “Stars of Sports” competition at the state level. These include the Akrobatenclub Ottendorf-Okrilla, Fliegerclub Oschatz, Sidekick Leipzig, SV Ludwigsdorf 48, Vogtland Bike eV and SV 52 Zschaitz – sports and local association.
All clubs will now be honored on Monday, November 13th in the BallsportARENA Dresden by the state government, the Volksbanken Raiffeisenbanken and the State Sports Association – surprise included.
Only on the awards stage will the sports clubs find out which place they have achieved: the first national victory with a big star in silver, the second or third national victory with a small star in silver or one of the three sponsorship prizes. The first-placed club also has the chance to win the Grand Star in Gold in Berlin on January 29, 2024. The award ceremony is expected to be carried out by Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

What: Awarding of the “Stars of Sports” in silver 2023 for Saxony
When: Monday, November 13, 2023, 5:00 p.m. – approx. 6:30 p.m
Where: BallsportARENA Dresden, Weißeritzstr. 4, 01067 Dresden
Every year, the “Stars of Sports” competition honors voluntary commitment in sports clubs from the local to the state to the federal level. Projects and initiatives from sports clubs that contribute to the common good are in demand (see description of the winning projects in the appendix). The competition is organized by the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB) in cooperation with the Volksbanken Raiffeisenbanken: www.sterne-des-sports.de
After the award ceremony, the national press release and the photos of the winning clubs will be available for download on the cooperative association website from November 14th at 10 a.m.:

1st place/Big Star in Silver, prize money: 2,500 euros2. Place/Small Star in Silver, prize money: 1,500 euros3. Place/Little Star in Silver: Prize money: 1,000 eurosThree sponsorship prizes of 500 euros each
