Career and Achievements of Ozers: Latvian Basketball Legend and Olympic Medalist

From 1958 to 1968, Ozers represented the Riga VEF team, in whose ranks he won the Latvian championship title in 1958, as well as the bronze medal of the USSR championship four times.

On the other hand, from 1957 to 1967, he played for the national team of the Latvian SSR, playing in 66 matches, and twice won bronze in the Spartakiad of the Peoples of the USSR.

In 1960, Ozer competed in the Olympic Games in Rome as part of the USSR national team, where he won silver.

Born on February 11, 1937, Ozer died on Sunday at the age of 86.

Ozer was also an LBS Honorary Member.
