ROME (ITALPRESS) – “I continue to think about the serious situation in Palestine and Israel, where so many people have lost their lives. Please stop, in the name of God: cease fire.” Thus Pope Francis at the end of the Angelus addressing the crowd gathered in St. Peter’s Square. “I hope that all avenues will be followed so that an escalation of the conflict is absolutely avoided, the wounded can be helped and aid reaches the population of Gaza, where the humanitarian situation is very serious. Let the hostages be released immediately,” he added.
“Among them there are also many children, who return to their families. Yes, let’s think about the children, all the children involved in this war, as well as in Ukraine and other conflicts: this is how their future is being killed. Let us pray that we have the strength to say ‘enough'”, concluded the Holy Father.
