In recent days, more than 80 clashes have occurred on the battlefield in Ukraine and the Ukrainian Air Force has launched four attacks against enemy positions. This was stated by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in its morning update on its Facebook page, Ukrinform reports. “In the last 24 hours, 82 clashes took place. In total, the enemy launched 7 missile attacks and 24 air strikes, using multiple launch missile systems on the positions of our troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, there are casualties among the population civil due to Russian terrorist attacks. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged,” the report reads, particularly in Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Mykolaiv. More than 100 settlements in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Lugansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions have come under Russian artillery fire in recent days. Meanwhile, the battle for Bakhmut continues, with the Russians having unsuccessfully attempted to regain lost positions near Klishchiivka and Andriivka. At the same time, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue assault operations in the south, consolidating the positions they have reached. In the direction of Avdiivka the Russians try to surround the city with the help of planes but the Ukrainian soldiers – claims the general staff – “firmly maintain the defense and inflict significant losses on the enemy”: “The Ukrainian soldiers – it says – have repelled more of 20 attacks”.. In the Shakhtarske direction the invaders carried out unsuccessful assaults in the Staromaiorske area of ​​the Donetsk region. At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue the offensive operation in the direction of Melitopol, inflicting losses in personnel and equipment on Russian troops, weakening the enemy along the entire front line. In the direction of Kherson, the Ukrainian defenders are engaged in combat inflicting fire damage on the enemy rear. Last night the Russians struck the Nikopol district three times, without serious consequences.
