Israeli Airstrikes Kill Dozens in Maghazi Camp, Mostly Children and Women

The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that 51 people, most of them children and women, were killed and dozens injured as a result of the Israeli army’s bombing of the Maghazi camp in the central Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian News Agency (Wafa) revealed that Israeli army aircraft “targeted the home of the Semaan family in the Maghazi camp, killing at least 21 citizens and wounding others, the majority of whom were women and children.”

Israeli aircraft also launched intensive raids on the neighborhoods of western and northern Gaza, and dropped white phosphorus bombs on those neighborhoods, especially on the Beach Camp, west of the Strip.

Israeli aircraft also launched 15 raids on the vicinity of the Indonesian Hospital in northern Gaza.

Israeli aircraft bombed the main water well in the Tal al-Zaatar area, north of Gaza, causing water to flow into the neighborhoods and homes surrounding the well.

Rescue and ambulance crews and citizens also recovered the bodies of 5 dead and a number of wounded from under the rubble of the Abu Hasira family home in western Gaza, which had been bombed by Israeli aircraft earlier, while attempts continue to recover bodies and wounded who are still trapped.

Earlier on Saturday evening, seven Palestinians were killed and dozens injured, as a result of Israeli aircraft targeting a house in the center of Jabalia refugee camp, in the northern Gaza Strip.

In a non-final tally, the Ministry of Health announced that the number of Palestinians killed and wounded as a result of the Israeli military operation in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, since October 7, has risen to 9,572 dead and more than 26,000 wounded, more than two-thirds of whom are children, women and the elderly.
