Reagan High School Band Places Third at Bands of America Super Regional Championship

Sixty bands from around Texas competed for a spot at the Regional Final of the Bands of America San Antonio Super Regional Championship held at the Alamodome this weekend.

Two San Antonio high school marching bands made it to the final round of competition at the Bands of America Super Regional at the Alamodome Saturday.

Claudia Taylor Johnson and Ronald Reagan high schools both earned a spot in the regional finals competition to be held Saturday evening.

Over 60 bands participated in the preliminary rounds of competition Friday and Saturday to earn one of 14 spots in the finals.

The 12 highest scoring bands in the preliminary competition are invited to the finals. Krum High School and Argyle High School will also play exhibition performances.

The full list of preliminary winners moving on to the finals can be found on the Bands of America website.
