Something happened in the Czech Republic that is sometimes not seen right away. One of the most important Polish chains has chosen the country as the area of its next major expansion. Unfortunately, in this case it is not a grocery chain, although Biedronka, for example, is what most people in the Czech Republic would like most of all, but it is a different first swallow that others can follow. We are talking about none other than the HalfPrice department store.
Brand goods
He has been working with us for some time, but only now has he really leaned into it. He opened a gigantic store on Wenceslas Square, which for him is the largest store ever in Central Europe, including his native Poland. Similar trust in the domestic market is not easy to see, especially when there is considerable competition. But HalfPrice is apparently not afraid of Primark, which local customers have fallen in love with.
The opening was attended by a spectacular event with the participation of celebrities, while the first lucky ones also received shopping vouchers, with which they could buy something for free, or get a certain discount on selected goods. This whole concept is about discounts.
The HalfPrice chain has a slightly different concept than Primark, which produces its cheap goods under its own brands, which in reality are not at all. However, in this case, it is indeed a first-class branded product, but one that did not sell in branded stores at full price and did not even succeed in outlet stores. So it finally makes its way here, where you can buy it for a more than favorable price.

Pleasant experiences
“I really love this store. It’s a bit of a bargain, especially when it’s this huge, but you can find unique pieces here that used to cost five thousand kroner, and here you can get them for a thousand or less. That’s what I call serious discounts,” says one of the customers we met on the sales floor. “I used to go to outlet stores, but I find them quite expensive in the Czech Republic, here the prices are more reasonable.“

The truth is that it is simply a Polish chain, which is known for not trying to rip off customers at all costs and, on the contrary, trying to offer them goods at the most favorable prices. They know that the customer will come back and buy more.
