– The new cinema series “Filmriss” starts on November 7th. The Austrian-German co-production “The Best of All Worlds” will be shown, followed by a discussion about the topic of addiction. The series starts on Tuesday, November 7th, in the cinema in Weißenburg.
The film tells of the difficult childhood of seven-year-old Adrian, who grows up in an extreme environment in Salzburg in the 1990s. His mother Helga and her friends are heroin addicts, and his biological father died before Adrian was born. Adrian’s life is an adventure playground – until both the youth welfare office and the brutality of addiction threaten to destroy his world.
The feature film by Adrian Goiginger, released in 2017, describes the true story of a drug-addicted mother, the adventurous world of her child and their love for each other. The film was awarded the Compass Perspective Prize at the 2017 Berlinale.
Destigmatizing addictions
