The New York Police Department (NYPD) is searching for those suspected of running over an elderly woman twice in Brooklyn on Thursday and fleeing the scene.
Local media reported this Friday that The 79-year-old woman was crossing Fulton Street on New York Avenue in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood around 6:35 p.m., when the driver of a gray Nissan Rogue hit her. The person was making a left turn onto Herkimer Street.
The second hit-and-run was recorded shortly after when another driver of a white Toyota Sienna hit the victim. The suspect also fled.
AM New York identified the victim as Yvonne Sandisord.
Agents found the female unconscious. She was pronounced dead at the scene..
The NYPD’s Highway Crash Investigations Team is leading the investigation.
No arrests have been announced in connection with the case.
