Most Sought-After Beaches in Spain to Buy and Rent Houses: Torre del Mar, Cala del Moral, and More

Beaches from Torre del Marin the municipality of Vélez-Málaga, and the Cala del Moralin Rincón de la Victoria, enter on their own merits into the list of the most sought-after coastal areas in Spain to buy and rent a house.

This is evident in the latest report prepared by the real estate portal Fotocasa, which mentions the coastal points most valued by clients. In this particular ranking, Playa del Zapillo, on the Almeria coast, appears as the most sought after for the purchase of a home, with an average price of €1,966.84/m2.

Next is Torre del Mar beach, in Malaga, with a price of 2,605.44 euros per square meterand La Victoria beach, in Cádiz, where the purchase price is 3,024.75 euros per square meter.

Among the most sought-after beaches for shopping, the coastal municipalities of Andalusia. In this sense, Matalascañas Beach (€2,148.75/m2) and Puerto Umbría Beach, both located in Huelva, are added to the list; Torrenueva Beach, in Granada (€1,695.03/m2); Islantilla Beach, in Huelva (€2,568.47/m2); San Juan Beach, in the Alicante town (with an average price of €3,474/m2); Santa Cristina de Oleiros Beach, in A Coruña (€2,747.89/m2); and Somo Beach, in Cantabria (€3,388/m2).

Another of the beaches that arouses the most interest are those of Cala del Moral, in Rincón, where the value of the square meter reaches 3,267 euros. A value surpassed by the 3,340 euros of Cala Millor, in Mallorca.

María Matos, Director of Studies and spokesperson for Fotocasa, highlights how the climate is “always a great attraction that captivates tourists from all over the world.” “The pandemic has transformed citizens’ housing preferences and needs, making the search for natural light and spacious spaces a priority, and giving more value than ever to the countryside and rural areas,” he assesses.

As far as rent is concerned, the Can Picafort Beach, In the Balearic Islands, it becomes the most sought after among those looking to rent a home near the sea in the summer months, reaching an average price of 28.22 euros per meter.

Among the most coveted coves to rent a house, the Cala Millor, in Mallorca; Cala Flores, in La Manga del Mar Menor (€20.45/m2); Cala del Moral, in Málaga (€20.88/m2); Cala Calafat, in L’Ametlla de Mar, in Tarragona; Cala Reona, in Murcia (€17.22/m2); Cala Finestrat, in Benidorm (€19.23/m2), Cala Llonga, in Ibiza (€25/m2); Cala Egos, in Mallorca and Caleta Fuste, in Las Palmas (€5/m2).
