While Sony strongly opposes Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard, many other major companies are more positive, and we’ve previously reported on how leaders from companies like Nintendo, Take-Two, and Valve supported the deal.
EA seems happy about it too, with boss Andrew Wilson acceptingCNBCDuring the interview, he even called it“An amazing thing”:
“I think Microsoft and Activision are a good thing, it means one of the largest companies in the world will continue to invest in our industry and help us grow this industry over time.
But when we think about where we stand – certainly as the world’s leading independent developer and publisher of interactive entertainment content – we feel very comfortable with our opportunities – to the extent that we have access to, We will certainly consider these.
There have been recent rumors that EA itself may be acquired or merged with another giant, Disney being one of them. Nothing official has been revealed so far, and considering EA Sports FC 24’s strong start, the company seems to be ready for the future.
