Cases of Monkeypox or monkey pox have not been found in the city. This was confirmed by the Head of the Mataram City Health Service (Dikes), Dr. Usman Hadi. “Alhamdulillah “no monkey pox has been found in Mataram City,” he told the Lombok Post, yesterday (1/10).
But this disease is disturbing. Why? One of them is that this disease can be transmitted relatively easily.
The latest information states that 24 cases have been found in Jakarta. And, it started to spread to several areas such as Bandung.
Health practitioner who is also secretary of the Mataram City Health Service, Dr Emirald Isfihan, also confirmed what Dr Usman Hadi said. “In principle, there are no cases yet,” he said.
The friendly man appealed to the public not to panic. According to him, medically, monkeypox is milder than chicken pox.
“It’s just that now it’s a national issue,” he admitted.
Monkeypox is widely discussed. One of them is embellished by social issues that say this disease is caused by sexual disorders. Specifically: homosexual.
Emir admitted that this issue had made discussions about monkeypox even hotter everywhere. But for him, the most important thing now is that people know how to avoid this disease.
“It can be transmitted through droplets (respiratory splashes, ed), body fluids,” he explained.
Emir explained that someone affected by monkeypox can be seen from their physical characteristics. “There were red lumps on the face, hands, and sorry, anus,” he explained.
The monkeypox case has become very sensitive. Spiced with social issues which are believed to be caused by sexual disorders.
However, the Emir still emphasized the importance of prevention so that the disease does not spread to other people. “The anticipatory steps, one is to apply healthy living standards like yesterday’s Covid people, use a mask, keep your distance, wash your hands,” he suggested.
The use of this mask is also emphasized for people with monkeypox disease. So that his bodily fluids do not come into contact with other people.
“Second, maintain your body’s immunity, because if your immunity is good, it is difficult for any disease to enter,” he added.
